A California Public Benefit Corporation
Team Number: C-57

REACT is an International organization dedicated to providing citizens radio communications for emergencies as a public service.

REACT stands for RADIO EMERGENCY ASSOCIATED COMMUNICATIONS TEAMS.

Blackberry REACT covers an area bordered by Skyline Road (West), Millbrae (North), the bay (East), and Cupertino (South).

Initially, REACT used Citizen Band (CB) radios to provide emergency road assistance to travelers. Now, radio communications has expanded to all kinds of public service communications, including GMRS (General Mobile Radio Service, UHF) and HAM radio. In order to practice for major emergencies such as the Earthquake of 1989, and the East Bay Firestorm in 1991, Blackberry REACT provides organizations with communications services when requested.

Blackberry REACT is Incorporated as a Non-Profit California Public Benefit Corporation. The Team has a Communication Van that is outfitted with radio hardware for use in emergencies and for public service communications.
