Jerry Haag - 2012
 The Jim Galbreath Award is presented
at the Blackberry REACT Annual Dinner. Before dinner
was served, Jon Mosby asked the 2012 Officers along with Penny
Galbreath to the front and
read a presentation for the 2012 Award. Penny presented the award
and a gift
card to a surprised Jerry Haag, this year's recipient. The award
was given to Jerry for
his extensive volunteer communications service including the EC of
Mountain
View for over 10 years, president of the SPECS amateur radio group for
4 years,
an active Blackberry REACT member and officer, and very active in the
Fire Associates
of Santa Clara County. Congratulations Jerry. To the right is Jerry
with Penny Galbreath.
It is with great sadness that we report Jerry passed away peacefully on
the evening of April 11, 2016.
In addition to his service with Blackberry REACT, Jerry was the
Emergency Coordinator for Mountain View ARES, a long-time member of
Fire Associates of Santa Clara Valley, a Captain in the U.S. Naval
Reserve, a former civilian Fire Inspector for the San Jose Fire
Department, a great leader, a skilled instructor, and a dear friend.
