Mountain View residents are invited to meet the everyday heroes in our community and find out how to keep safe in cases of emergency.
- Kids of all ages can explore the police cars and fire trucks that will be on hand. Trinkets and keepsakes will be given out as memorable treats.
- Members of the Mountain View Police and Fire Departments will present information about home security equipment, emergency preparation, the neighborhood watch program, the city's alarm program and more. - Free fingerprinting for children!
- Orchard Supply Hardware will have information on their ?how-to? workshops, lists of items you should have in your home emergency kit and more.
- El Camino Hospital and The Red Cross are scheduled to have information on how to keep yourself well in addition to a sampling of their disaster services.
- Other organizations will include Community Emergency Response Teams, Ham Radio Organizations, Blackberry REACT and Mountain View City Services.
- Mountain View ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Services) and Blackberry REACT will have examples of wireless communcations that can be used in an emergency.
- Raffle for home emergency preparedness equipment!
