All MTV ARES activities are from 1000 to 1130, fourth Saturday of the month, at Fire/Police Admin., 1000 Villa St., Mountain View, unless otherwise indicated and/or announced.
*Attendance by Los Altos, Los Alto Hills, and Palo Alto ARES; Blackberry REACT; and Coast Guard Auxiliary Land Mobile Unit participants invited.
**SVECS breakfast almost always has a speaker or activity that is worthwhile. They meet at the City of Santa Clara Senior Citizens Center, Fremont and Monroe Streets.
Dates are subject to change but notification will be given as early as possible on the Monday night Mountain View ARES Net.
Please note: Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training is the DHS/FEMA sponsored method for preparing citizens to act under disaster conditions. There will be four sessions given by Lynn Brown, MTVFD OES Coordinator. Two are the standard 7 Wednesday night classes but two additional sessions consisting of 2 full day classes will be given. All are followed by a half day field exercise at the Fire Department training grounds. Family members are welcome. The sessions start on March 30, May 12, October 5 and November 17.
